Dr. Cyr’s vast experience includes complicated surgery of the extremities and all areas of the spine. His surgical precision allows him to safely perform surgeries near the spinal cord and delicate nerves of the spine as well as the major blood vessels throughout the body.
After years of having patients request he consider performing liposuction or abdominoplasty during his spine surgeries through the abdomen, Dr. Cyr realized there was potential to address medical conditions affecting the stress on the back that leads to increased back pain and surgical failures.
However, to provide superb results similar to his results as an orthopedic spine specialist, he sought formal cosmetic surgery fellowship training from one of the most respected cosmetic surgeons in America. He completed a 2-year cosmetic surgery fellowship with the President of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, Past President of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery, and Triple Board Certified Surgeon, Wilbur Hah, MD. Additionally, Dr. Cyr has obtained additional training from multiple leaders in cosmetic surgery in Los Angeles, CA, to further refine his skills in cosmetic surgery of the face and body.
During his training, Dr. Cyr realized his orthopedic background had equipped him with a rare knowledge of the musculoskeletal system that could further enhance the advancements being made in liposuction and body contouring. His profound knowledge and understanding of the ideal anatomy enhanced by his life-long passion for fitness and bodybuilding enabled him to identify anatomic flaws in high-definition liposculpture, which result in a manufactured or artificial appearance.
Coupling his unparalleled understanding of the body’s anatomy with formal training in liposculpture and cosmetic surgery, he was able to increase the anatomic accuracy and precision of current techniques while enhancing the safety of these procedures.
